When Pantone announced the colour of the year for 2015 was Marsala I certainly had to see what got everyone so excited. I have to admit that growing up as a teenager I hated the colour maroon or burgundy as it was known back then.

“Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness. This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors.” Pantone

It was only until Pantone’s announcement of the colour Marsala being the colour of the year did I take notice that this could be a colour that I could get used to and it could really work with my skintone. . I have since introduced the colour in to my closet and have had fun playing around with the various pieces. I  browsed through Pinterest for some fashion inspiration which I share below.
